Sometimes life is about risking everything for a dream no one can see but you.

Nikolai Guzov trained as an actor and director at the St. Petersburg  Academy of Theatre Arts in Russia. Following his education, Nikolai joined the  Komisarjevsky Theatre Company in St. Petersburg where he appeared in over twenty productions including Bernard Shaw’s  Antony and Cleopatra and  Tolstoy’s trilogy of Ivan the Terrible. During these years he also taught acting at The Acting School of Russian Drama.

In 1994 Nikolai was invited by the theatre department of  Bucknell University in Pennsylvania to conduct a workshop on the  Russian Avant Garde Theatre – focusing on the works of Twentieth Century Masters including  Michael Chekhov. He relocated to the United States in 1996 and began as a private acting coach in Los Angeles. It wasn’t long before he began to teach full-time, creating the Nikolai Guzov Acting Studio in North Hollywood where he has been training and working with actors on any level – from beginner to veteran alike – for over twenty five years.
